Amorn
Amorn was first exposed to meditation and chanting in Pali language when he joined a Buddhist temple from the age of 13 to 19. While working later in a private hospital in Bangkok as German and English language coordinator he became seriously ill and thus started practicing Vinyasa Yoga.
He started the practice of Ashtanga yoga in 2006 with his first teacher Suchavadee (Sasha) who made him fall in love with this practice. True to Pattabhi Jois words sick people can walk after practicing Yoga, Amorn believes that it was the regular asana and meditation practice that led to the full recovery from his illness.
Amorn has participated in several workshops with Richard Freeman and Ken Harakuma. He is currently studying in a 6-month Ashtanga Intensive course with Paul Dallaghan in Thailand. He has also been teaching private Ashtanga classes throughout 2007.
Amorn likes to travel and has written about his experience of visiting and practicing Ashtanga in Madrid, Spain in the Thai language version of Yoga Journal.
Amy
Amy started practicing yoga after moving back from Los Angeles, to her native Hong Kong, in 2002. Although initially seeking only a physical and stress-relief exercise, she soon discovered the full spectrum of the practice. It was an immediate connection and since then, Ashtanga Yoga has become her daily routine.
In 2006 she spent 6 months in Mysore, India, to study with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Rangaswamy, she returned in 2008 for another 2 months, and she is planning to be back routinely to study at the "source".
She has been assisting certified teacher Alexander Medin and then teaching in Hong Kong and, briefly, in Thailand, since 2005. She has also attended a month-long teacher training intensive with Paul Dallaghan in Ko Samui.
